Chocolate Pie with Raspberries (fr. tarte au chocolat)

The tarte aux chocolat is a very popular french dessert. You can even get it in the university canteen! Amazingly rich, creamy and full of chocolate, it is one of the best treats for choco addicts! 😉 Here I present you my favorite version: with Raspberries! 🙂

For a quadratic pie (20x20cm)
♥  150ml cream (eg. 12% of fat)
♥  125g chocolate (not more than 55% cocoa)
♥  1 large egg
♥  1 tablespoon of homemade vanilla sugar
♥  1 cup of raspberries
for the dough:
♥  150g flour (1 glass)
♥  75g butter
♥  2 egg yellows
for decoration:
♥  20g chocolate
♥  fresh raspberries
♥  Golden colorant (liposoluble powder)

1.  Here are the step by step instructions how to prepare the tart base.

2. In order to do the chocolate filling melt the chocolate with cream & sugar in a saucepan. You don’t want to bring it to the boil. You just need to melt the chocolate.

3. Put a layer of raspberries on the bakes dough and pour the chocolate mix over it. Bake at 180’C for 25min.

4. Decorate it with grated chocolate and raspberries.

5. You can make your pie more fancy by making your raspberries golden. 🙂 To do that you can use a golden colorant powder.

  • I love those golden raspberries!! I never buy those things, because in the end, don’t use them!! Like sprinkles, wow…
    But without gold dust, this cake looks wonderful, so chocolate!! Maybe I prepare tomorrow to whatch football, if I have time to. I tell you, ok?

    • Hehehe, I had the golden powder since few months already and it was the first opportunity to use it ;P I love this kind of things because it makes me feel like painting (before when I had more time I was painting a lot)
