Chicken marinated in Lemon, Honey, Garlic and Herbes de Provence

Chicken marinated in Lemon, Honey, Garlic and Herbes de Provence

Another interesting way to prepare your chicken! This simple and delicious recipe I got from a good friend from South Africa. who is half Italian. 🙂

For 300g of chicken:
– 2 spoons of olive oil
– juice from 1 lemon
– 1 clove of garlic
– 1/2 teaspoon of herbes de provence (thyme, basil etc.)
– 1 teaspoon of honey

1. Squeeze the juice from lemon and slice garlic (into not too small pieces because you will need to put it out before frying).

2. Put together lemon juice, olive oil, honey, garlic and spices.

3. Put sliced chicken into it and leave to marinate for few hours ( I usually leave it for 1h).

4. After this time, put out garlic and put your chicken (with only a little bit of marinate) on a hot frying-pan. Stir the chicken all the time (the honey in the marinate makes it easy tu burn).

3. After few minutes (when there is no pink chicken visible) add the marinate on the pan and stir for 2min all together.

4. It’s ready! This time we had it with cooked potatoes and fried beetroots.
