Piña Colada
Piña Colada is definitely one of my favorite cocktails! I like it the most when it is thick & creamy. To obtain that effect it is the best to prepare it using a blender!
I love it with a fresh pineapple but when I cannot find any sweet and ripe one I sometimes use the canned fruits and it is also very good! 🙂

For 4-5 cocktails (over 1 liter) you will need:
If you use a fresh pineapple:
♥ Ripe pineapple (500g after peeling)
♥ 75ml pineapple juice (or the syrup from the can if you use the canned pineapple)
If you use the pineapple from a can:
(most of the time I use a canned pineapple as in Paris it is difficult to get a truly ripe and sweet one!)
♥ 400g pineapple with the sirup
Other ingredients:
♥ 150ml white rum (eg. Bacardi)
♥ 125ml Malibu (originally there is no Malibu in Pina Colada, but I love it 😉 )
♥ 200ml coconut cream
♥ 200ml crushed ice
1. Peel the pineapple and cut it into little pieces.
2. Put the pineapple in the blender, add ice and juice. Blend everything together.
2. Add both alcohols and coconut cream. Blend everything again.
3. For the decoration of the cocktail glass you can use the pineapple leaves or just a piece of pineapple.
Enjoy! 🙂
