Italian Breakfast Cake
Same as in France, Italians like their breakfasts sweet. Here I would like to share with you a recipe for an Italian breakfast cake that tastes really well with a strong black coffee.
For a little cake:
(my little baking tray: 19 x 14 x 5cm)
♥ 2 eggs
♥ 100g flour
♥ 1 teaspoon baking soda
♥ 2,5 tablespoons homemade vanilla sugar
♥ juice and zest of 1/2 lemon
♥ 45ml rapeseed oil
♥ pinch o salt
Preparation time (with baking): 30min
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
2. Mix the flour with baking soda, sugar, pinch of salt and lemon zest. Add eggs, oil and lemon juice. Mix everything to combine the ingredients.
3. Transfer the dough into the baking tray with some baking paper on the bottom.
4. Bake at 180°C for about 15-20min (until the cake is golden-brown).
